Wi-Fi and Networks
Can you improve weak Wi-Fi or internet coverage?
Yes. Hardwire TV can improve weak Wi-Fi, dead zones and unreliable internet in homes, rural properties and small businesses. Depending on the property, we may recommend better router placement, mesh Wi-Fi, wired access points or data cabling. The best solution depends on the size and layout of the property, building materials and where you need reliable coverage.
Can you improve Wi-Fi in a large or multi-storey home?
Yes. Large and multi-storey homes often need more than a single router to provide reliable coverage throughout the property. We can assess your existing setup and recommend options such as wired access points, mesh Wi-Fi or additional data cabling for bedrooms, home offices, entertainment areas and outdoor spaces.
How can I get internet to a shed or outbuilding?
There are several ways to extend internet to a shed, workshop, granny flat or other separate building. Depending on the distance and site conditions, Hardwire TV can install underground or aerial cabling, or a point-to-point wireless link where physical cabling is not practical.
Do you install point-to-point wireless links?
Yes. We install point-to-point wireless links to extend internet or network connectivity between separate buildings. This can be useful for homes with sheds, rural properties, workshops, offices and other buildings that are too far away for normal Wi-Fi coverage.
How do I connect my TV to the internet?
Most modern televisions can connect to the internet using either Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.
If the TV is close enough to your router, Wi-Fi may be sufficient. For a more stable connection, particularly for streaming, we can install a data point behind the TV or improve the Wi-Fi coverage in that part of the home.

Starlink and NBN
Can you install my Starlink kit?
Yes. Hardwire TV can professionally install customer-supplied Starlink equipment.
Where should a Starlink dish be installed?
Starlink requires a suitable location with a clear view of the sky.
We can assess the property and install the dish on a secure roof or other suitable mounting point while considering cable length, access, equipment placement and the location of the router inside the property.
Do you install Starlink on rural properties?
Yes. Starlink installation is available for rural properties across our service areas, subject to suitable site conditions and sky visibility.
We can also help distribute the connection throughout the property using Wi-Fi access points, data cabling or point-to-point wireless links.
Can you relocate an NBN box?
In many properties, NBN equipment can be relocated to a more practical position.
A site assessment may be required to check the NBN connection type, existing cabling, access and the proposed new equipment location.
Data Cabling
Do you install data points?
Yes. Hardwire TV installs Ethernet data points for homes and businesses.
Data points can be installed for home offices, televisions, gaming systems, Wi-Fi access points, security cameras, computers and other network equipment.
Do you install data cabling for homes and businesses?
Yes. We provide data cabling for residential and commercial properties.
This can include new Ethernet cabling, additional data outlets, network cabinets, access points, security-camera infrastructure and upgrades to existing network cabling.
Can you plan network cabling for a new home or renovation?
Yes. The best time to plan network and security cabling is before walls and ceilings are closed.
We can help plan data points, Wi-Fi access points, security-camera locations and other network infrastructure so the finished installation is cleaner and easier to expand in the future.

Security Cameras
Do you install security cameras?
Yes. Hardwire TV installs CCTV and security-camera systems for homes, rural properties and businesses.
We can help with camera positioning, cabling, recording equipment, remote viewing and coverage for entrances, driveways, sheds, garages and outdoor areas.
Can I view my security cameras from my phone?
Many modern security-camera systems support remote viewing from a compatible phone or tablet.
We can configure supported systems and show you how to access live and recorded footage after installation.
Can security cameras cover sheds, driveways and large properties?
Yes. We can design CCTV systems for larger residential and rural properties, including driveways, sheds, workshops and separate buildings.
Where buildings are spread across a property, network cabling or point-to-point wireless links may be used to support camera connectivity.
Do you install security cameras for businesses?
Yes. Hardwire TV installs CCTV systems for offices, shops, workshops and other small businesses.
The system can be designed around entrances, customer areas, stock areas, car parks and other locations where better visibility is required.
